Product Overview
The CO₂ Air-Source Heat Pump Hot Water Unit uses carbon dioxide (CO₂) as a natural refrigerant and advanced air-source heat pump technology to convert low-grade ambient heat into high-grade thermal energy. It provides a stable and continuous hot water supply while delivering excellent energy efficiency and environmental performance.
The unit operates reliably under a wide range of environmental conditions, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial hot water applications.
Working Principle
The system uses CO₂ as the circulating working fluid. The compressor raises the refrigerant to a high-temperature and high-pressure state, allowing heat to be transferred to the water system. The refrigerant then expands, reduces in pressure, and absorbs heat from the ambient air before re-entering the cycle.
Thanks to the superior heat transfer properties of CO₂ in its supercritical state, the system can deliver hot water up to 95 °C while maintaining stable operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -45 °C to 43 °C.
Key Features
- High-Temperature Output: Delivers hot water up to 95 °C, suitable for various high-temperature applications.
- Wide Operating Range: Operates reliably in ambient temperatures from -45 °C to 43 °C, ensuring year-round performance.
- Eco-Friendly Refrigerant: Uses natural CO₂ with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1 and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP=0).
- Energy Efficient: Each unit of electricity can extract 2–5.4 units of heat from low-temperature sources, significantly reducing energy consumption.
- Cost-Effective: Can replace traditional fuel-fired boilers, lowering both energy use and system upgrade costs.
Applications
- Residential Use: Provides stable and efficient domestic hot water supply.
- Commercial Facilities: Ideal for hotels, restaurants, gyms, and other locations with high hot water demand.
- Industrial Applications: Supplies consistent hot water for manufacturing and processing operations.
- Agricultural Greenhouses: Provides hot water and auxiliary heating to support crop growth.
