The portable PN analyzer is a high-performance instrument designed to measure particle number (PN) concentration in exhaust gas. Based on diffusion charging (DC) technology, it enables real-time measurement directly from raw exhaust without the need for sample filtration or dilution.

Working Principle

The analyzer uses diffusion charging technology to measure aerosol particles. During operation, particles pass through a charging zone where they interact with ions and acquire an electrical charge.

These charged particles are then collected under an electric field, generating a measurable electrical signal. This signal is directly related to the particle number concentration and is converted into PN values through precise algorithms.

Because no dilution or filtration is required, the instrument can measure raw exhaust directly, improving response time and avoiding errors and contamination associated with traditional sample pretreatment methods.
