Product Overview
Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology captures CO₂ from large point sources—such as coal-fired or biomass power plants and industrial facilities—compresses it, and transports it via pipelines, ships, rail, or trucks to utilization or storage sites. Captured CO₂ can be used for industrial applications or injected into deep geological formations, such as depleted oil and gas reservoirs or saline aquifers, for long-term secure storage. The solution provides end-to-end capabilities, from design and construction to operation and management, suitable for CCUS projects at scales of 200,000 t, 500,000 t, and 1,000,000 t per year, and features large-scale carbon capture equipment for high-efficiency emission reduction.

Working Principle
The CCUS system extracts CO₂ from industrial flue gas using capture units, then compresses, dehydrates, and purifies the gas. The treated CO₂ is transported via pipelines, ships, rail, or trucks to utilization or storage sites. Utilization options include chemical feedstock, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and other industrial applications. Storage is achieved by injection into deep geological formations, such as depleted oil and gas reservoirs or saline aquifers, ensuring safe long-term sequestration. Standardized processes and modular equipment are employed to guarantee efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Key Features
- Comprehensive Project Capability: Full-service CCUS solution from design, construction, to operation and management, supporting projects from 200,000 t to 1,000,000 t CO₂ per year.
- Economies of Scale: Centralized transport and storage infrastructure reduce construction and operational costs, especially in compression, dehydration, pipeline, and storage stages.
- Rapid Expansion: Large-scale projects can capture and store ~1 Mt CO₂ annually, with early CCU clusters capturing 50–100 kt CO₂ per year, and future clusters expandable to larger capacities.
- Risk-Sharing Mechanism: Cost and risk sharing during new storage site assessment simplifies and secures project startup in undeveloped areas.
Applications
- Power Generation: Capture CO₂ emissions from coal, biomass, or other power plants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Industrial Manufacturing: Steel, chemical, glass, and other sectors can implement CCUS for CO₂ reduction and resource utilization.
- Oil & Gas Production: Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) improves resource utilization while simultaneously sequestering CO₂.
- Chemical Industry: CO₂ can be used as feedstock or for other industrial applications, enabling circular carbon use and low-carbon production.
- Low-Carbon Energy Strategy: Supports global climate goals, facilitates low-carbon economic transition, and promotes sustainable development.
