Product Overview
The Methanol Reforming Hydrogen Production Unit combines methanol reforming and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology to produce hydrogen. Using methanol and water as feedstock, the system generates hydrogen-rich gas through catalytic reactions under controlled temperature and pressure, followed by purification to obtain high-purity hydrogen. The process is mature, stable, and efficient, featuring a simple flow scheme that is well-suited for continuous and large-scale hydrogen production across various industrial and energy applications.
Working Principle
Methanol and water are first mixed and fed into a reactor, where they undergo catalytic reforming to produce a gas mixture primarily composed of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. The resulting gas is then purified using PSA technology, which separates impurities and delivers high-purity hydrogen. The entire process is controlled by an automated system that regulates temperature, pressure, and flow to ensure stable and efficient operation.
